My pod-a-lod, my pod-a-lod

Won't you play with my pod-a-lod?

You know that film The Hangover? I am living it RIGHT NOW. My one-man wolf pack, it grew by one. Haven't found a baby left in my sleeping quarters yet though which is a relief. You know what else is a relief? This week's podcast is up. BREATHE EASY EVERYBODY.

My Saturday was better than your Saturday (also - POD!)

You guys, I had the most perfect Saturday EVER. Did I go to an aquarium? Yes I did go an aquarium. Fish really like me! Especially box fish (um, box fish are CRAZY btdubs) and mudskippers for some reason (all animals like me though, it's just people over the age of about 11 that seem to find me a chore). Did I then go play mini golf in freezing weather conditions so much so that I lost feeling in my toes by the time we got to the ninth hole? Yes I did do that! I was pretty good considering how bad I am at everything else (including life in general). Then did I see Up in the Air again? Yup. I really like that film! Jason Reitman is three for three with me now. That's pretty good! How about later, did I watch Finding Nemo and enjoy discussing the facts and figures I had learned that day from the aquarium? YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT GUESSING WHAT I DID WITH MY DAY!! You weren't following me were you? That'd be a little odd. How did my hair look though? I wasn't sure if it was a bit too crazy-curly yesterday.

Anyway, that all explains why I didn't get round to posting our rather delightful podcast till now. But now I have you can stop your tears and listen with your ears. And then go and drink some beers and take a drive and change some gears. (Except don't do that cos it's a bit dangerous to get crunk and drive).

Pod Club

The first rule of Pod Club is you have to make pop culture references that are about 5 years out-of-date. The second rule of Pod Club is YOU HAVE TO MAKE POP CULTURE REFERENCES THAT ARE ABOUT 5 YEARS OUT-OF-DATE. That would explain why we sing Placebo briefly in this one at any rate. You should listen, it's pretty funny.

Cry Me a Pod

So, in the last week at LEAST I have cried at
- news reports about the snow
- the ending of Cruel Intentions
- counting stitches wrong in my cross stitch and having to unpick a bunch of it
- 'Up in the Air' (about three times)
- more than one audition in American Idol
- 'It's Complicated' (again, more than once)

I think it's fair to say I'm pretty emotional at the mo.

One thing I have NOT cried about is the podcast which is ready and raring to go directly into your ears and then warmed up to allow your brain to process it (science stuff. You probs don't understand it, don't worry took me a while to 'get it'). You should listen. The only danger is you might cry with LAUGHTER! DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!

Guerrilla podding

I haven't had internet for two days (RELAX IT'S BACK NOW) but just wanna make sure you know about this new ADOAA podcast that appears to have been posted in my internet absence. If I could have left a post-it on your desk to remind you then trust me that I would have done but this virtual nudge will have to do.

Wow, you guys talk like grown-ups!

Dudes. I am totally bummed by this Tai dying shit. That's seriously effed my shizz UP. Only thing I can think of doing right now is downloading and listening to ADOAA podcast. And maybe get crunk in honour of my gurl Brittany Murphy. However, as someone older, can I please give you some advice? It is one thing to spark up a doobie and get laced at parties, but it is quite another to be fried all day.

Quite.

[To be sung to the tune of 'No Limit' by 2Unlimited]

Pod pod, pod pod pod pod, pod pod pod pod, pod pod, there's a new podcast.

Which apparently we are not telling our pod team members about when we post the pod now. That's how it is you see. We just have to live it and sometimes we then have to write blogs full of passive-aggressive uses of pronouns. That's just what we do.

Interesting fact: The word 'pod' starts to look weird when you type it ten times or more.

With a little podcast from my friends

What would you think if I podded out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your ears and I'll pod you a cast, And I'll try not to use a broken link.

Oh I get podcasts every week from my friends (Nic and Sazz)
So I think I'll just click on this link and download the latest episode.

In other news, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to work 'pod' and 'podcast' into popular song lyrics.

Let's go pod a cast,

up to the highest heights, let's go pod a cast and send it soaring.

Though maybe we won't pretend our 10 year old son is in it eh? That seems a little silly just for some publicity.

Where we're going we don't need roads

I'm watching Back to the Future while I write this. Man, I never get tired of this film and always watch it on telly even though I've got the trilogy box set. We've just got to my favourite bit; 'Hey Chuck, it's your cousin Marvin, Marvin Berry' which is like the least believable dialogue ever committed to celluloid (to put it in context, this isn't a sentence I've ever had reason to scream down a phone 'Hey Bear it's your sister Sarah, Sarah Mulholland'). And it also makes you wonder how Marty knew how to do that song in that style seeing as how Chuck Berry wouldn't have invented it if he hadn't heard Marty playing it in that style? And how come he was already called Marty if his parents hadn't ever met anyone called Marty the first time round? That whole movie will make you question your entire existence. It's awesome. You know what else is awesome? The latest Accidental Death of an Anarchist podcast. We're as sexy as George McFly in a tux (that is off the charts sexy for any sexy statisticians dealing exclusively in sexy ratings out there).

Though if you don't want to listen that's cool, I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet? But your kids are gonna love it. Although I should warn you that you and Jennifer turn out fine but your kids! Something has to be done about your kids! (They listen to podcasts from 30 years ago too much probably)

Pod Up the Cast

Pod it up. While your feet are stomping. Pod it up, a little more, get the party started on the dance floor.

Or just listen to me and Nic twitter on (in the classical sense, rather than bizarre social networking that I can no longer be faffed with sense) and leave the party starting to Pink as God and nature intended.

Looky here!

What is this? This strange being drudged up from the depths of the internet? Why, I'm not sure but if you hold it from this angle, yes like that, hold it up to the sunlight... why, it ALMOST looks like the latest installment of Accidental Death of an Anarchist podcast. Jesus, it's beautiful! I've never before witnessed the true apex of what God and nature can achieve before. Do you think we should listen to it? Find out the pearly whites of wisdom it has to teach our human brains?

You know what. I think we should (hint hint click click).
